Meals on Wheels Volunteer Opportunities

Delivery Driver: Monday to Friday, volunteers pick up packaged meals from the Meals on Wheels Kitchen or a satellite site and deliver to clients' homes between 10:30am and 12:30pm.

Substitute Driver: Fill in when regular Delivery Driver is unable. 

Satellite Site Drop-off Driver: Volunteers pick up several meal bags from the main kitchen site at 430 Prior Street, S.E. Gainesville and deliver to one of the satellite sites in North Hall, South Hall and Clermont so that other volunteers can deliver meals directly to clients.   

Satellite Site Pick-up Driver: Volunteers pick up several meal bags from the satellite sites in North Hall and South Hall and return them to the main kitchen site at 430 Prior Street, S.E. between 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm.

Orientations for Delivery Drivers, Substitute Drivers and Satellite Drop-off/Pick-up Drivers take place at 2pm the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of every month at 430 Prior St, S.E. – Gainesville or virtually.

Senior Life Center Volunteer Opportunities

If you enjoy spending time with older adults, consider volunteering a few hours each month at the Senior Life Center to share a new skill or activity, assist with a game, craft, or wellness activity, or engage in a conversation with our seniors.
