Meals on Wheels Volunteer Opportunities

Kitchen Helper: Volunteer helps package food into individual serving containers from 8:30am to 10:30am

Delivery Driver: Volunteers pick up packaged meals from the Meals on Wheels Kitchen and deliver to clients' homes each weekday between 10:30am and 1:30pm.

Substitute Driver: Fill in when regular Delivery Driver is unable.

Satellite Site Drop-off Driver: Volunteers pick up several meal bags from the main kitchen site at 430 Prior Street, S.E. Gainesville and deliver to one of the satellite sites in North Hall, South Hall and Clermont so that other volunteers can deliver meals directly to clients.

Orientations for Delivery Drivers, Substitute Drivers and Satellite Drop-off Drivers take place at 2pm the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of every month at 430 Prior St, S.E. – Ganesville.  If you have a large group of people interested in volunteering, please contact the Meals On Wheels Supervisor, Stepheine Hood at 770.503.3338 or to coordinate a group orientation at your convenience.
