Reassurance Program

The Telephone Reassurance Program has been in existence for nearly three decades. The program works when community volunteers make friendly telephone calls to frail older adults who, because of poor health or other circumstances, rarely venture out of their homes.  These daily phone calls are a way of helping participants feel connected and comforted. Volunteer callers are not required to have specialized training in any specific area; rather they are community members who have expressed an interest in helping others and are committed to calling on participants as agreed upon to offer support, comfort and enjoyable phone conversations.
